The "bomb has exploded" as Jurgen Klopp on Friday morning announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the season. The German coach, through a personal message to the friends of the team, said that his relationship with the club has come to an end, that this is difficult and a shock for many, but his energy leaves him. So, in a few months the German coach will leave behind great titles and great victories but a great legacy.
In particular, the German coach said: "I will leave the club at the end of the season. I can understand that this is a shock to many people right now when you hear it for the first time but I can certainly explain it or at least I will try to explain it. I love everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our fans, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything. But the fact that I'm still making this decision shows you that I'm convinced it's the one I have to make. It's just that I'm, how can I say it, I'm running out of energy.
I don't have a problem now, obviously, I knew for a while that I would have to announce it at some point, but now I'm perfectly fine. I know I can't do the work over and over and over and over. After the years we've been together and after all the time we've spent together and after everything we've been through together, respect has grown for you, love has grown for you, and the least I owe you is the truth – and that's the truth.”
During his time at Liverpool, he won six titles with them. Klopp has won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Premier League, League Cup and FA Cup, and is the only Liverpool manager to win six different major trophies.
